Apartment Review for Club Laguna Apartments - Laguna Beach, CA

I would not recommend this apartment community to anyone. I moved into Club Laguna in November 2008 and have had nothing but problems since I moved in. If I needed something fixed in my apartment and put in a work order, I would have to call three times to follow up on it since it never got done. One time, when one of the maintenance men finally came to fix my sink, he asked if he could take a picture of me—which is not only unprofessional, but creepy. Reporting his behavior to the leasing office was a joke. Since then, putting in a work order for multiple things meant that half of the maintenance would be done and the order would be closed without the other half being completed. Having to follow up with the leasing office on customer service issues they should be attending to is unacceptable. The icing on the cake came in January 2010, when my apartment was flooded by the torrential rains we had. It took the community more than two weeks to have the carpet padding replaced—and they failed to have the carpet that was removed from my closets installed. I called the leasing office eight times and made two in-person visits before my carpets were finally carpeted in June. It took them FIVE MONTHS to carpet my closets. And when they did, my broom went missing from my apartment. I called and complained to Kimberly, and the Community Manager, Rebeca Moore, who ignored my complaints. After all of this, they wanted to raise my rent. Well, they can go to hell. I would advise against anyone living in Club Laguna…unless of course, you’re crazy.
